Ongoing Financial Planning and Investment Management Services
This service and fee structure is the option that is selected by most of our clients. Ongoing financial planning services and investment management services are provided for one combined fixed fee. Currently, the fixed fee for ongoing financial planning services (including discretionary investment management services at no additional charge) ranges from $1,500 to $15,000 annually per client and is divided into monthly or quarterly payments. These rates are negotiable, and are based upon the complexity of the client’s financial situation and the amount of work expected to be completed. Our financial planning fees are not tied to the value of the client’s investment portfolio. We believe that this flat fee structure is the most equitable to investors, and helps to reduce the inherent conflicts of the asset-gathering model.

In addition to the recurring annual retainer fee for ongoing financial planning and discretionary investment advisory services, NGFP may also bill an initial upfront fee for onboarding the client and creating the initial version of their financial plan. The amount of this fee is negotiable, and ranges from $0 to $5,000 depending on the complexity of the client’s financial situation and the amount of work expected to be completed.

About

Growing up I never truly understood the power that knowledge of money and money habits holds. As a child to immigrants, money was never an abundant resource. I recall “working” 8 hour days with my father’s landscape contracting company to earn $20. Working mainly consisted of passing out marketing brochures to homes in development and sitting in the truck eating ice cream. I knew that if I went to work for those $20, in three days I would have enough money to buy myself a new video game. So I went to work. This was the first true lesson I had in saving money to achieve a goal of mine.

Life has a funny way of giving in abundance. As I grew up, money came in abundance. I started working my first part-time job and I had extra money in my pocket. Expenses also came in abundance. Therein came my desire to be smart with money. I knew that the things I desired in this life required some form of planning as my life became more complex. No longer could I spend as I earned and expect to achieve all of the success and goals I had set for myself.

Your life is complex and dynamic. Much more than mine was at 10 years old when all I had to worry about was which video game I wanted to buy or what bag of chips I wanted to eat. Your life in your 20’s, 30’s, & 40’s is ever-changing and comes with important financial decisions. I decided to become a financial planner so that I can help you: take that long vacation, help pay for your children’s college expenses, feel confident about purchasing your first home, understand how to repay your student loans and more. My goal in our relationship is to allow you to do the things that you truly love without worrying about how to get there.
